Simulated Grass - Yes, it's the same as a Synthetic Lawn

We are often asked if we offer simulated grass. To clarify, the word simulated grass is used often synonymously with artificial turf, fake grass or replicated grass. Simulated grass is a stretch of land covered by artificial grass, especially for landscaping purposes. They are mostly visible in places like home lawns, hotels, race courses, sports fields, indoor stadiums, parks and golf courses. The surfaces where simulated grass is installed tend to remain consistent. The simulated grass requires no sunlight or constant watering. It needs no seeding or fertilizers or pesticides and you do not need to mow simulated grass down.

Initially, it was mostly clubs and stadiums that were investing in simulated grass, but increasingly individuals with a large garden spare or backyards have also started to choose simulated grass for the sake of convenience.

Simulated grass is also more prevalent in environments that big cities possess, where soil is scarce and pollution rampant, natural grass finds it hard to grow. In certain parts of the world, drought and/or water restriction is another factor driving the installation of simulated grass. If it does grow, it might be uneven, patchy and not as attractive as we would like it to be. Simulated grass provides an excellent alternative to the natural grass.

Excessive rainy weather can also warrant the use of simulated grass as the rain may damage the natural grass for extensive periods and require additional expenses to speed up the restoration process. Another advantage of simulated grass is its lower maintenance cost as compared to natural grass.

While simulated grass is not completely maintenance-free, it requires much less care than is required to keep natural grass in optimum condition.

Unlike natural grass, simulated grass requires no regular irrigation, though for some areas, users may prefer simulated grass that has been watered prior to play. Perhaps the most attractive characteristic of simulated grass is that it can be used day-in and day-out without excessive wear. Where a natural grass area may be unusable when muddy or frozen, a simulated grass surface can be used, safely and without damage, in almost any weather. Where grass fields must be rested to recover from heavy use, simulated grass fields are immediately available for the next activity.

We can help you select the right simulated grass products for your waterless lawn or artificial lawn needs. We go beyond fake grass to be more like replicated grass. Our artificial grass or synthetic turf systems can be also used for many sports turf and indoor sports fields needs. Sports field turf uses include football turf, soccer turf or indoor soccer.
